Today we usher in spring at approximatly 4:20 this afternoon. I don’t really understand the time thing. Can’t it just be spring all day? The weather says it can. It’s the best first day of spring we have had in a long time.
Today’s list of springtime activities includes
- Plant spinach.
- Cont. to keep an eagle eye on the seeds.
- Clean up and keep pruning shrubs.
Before we start all that work, to really celebrate spring I took my camera on my bike ride with me this morning. I know, I know, your thinking wow she really does know how to celebrate. Here are a few sights from my favorite bike loop.
My favorite old Church. 1861 I believe is the date on the front. Notice the old cemetary stones in the back.
I love an old barn. The cover crops have really gotten green and makes everything look so spring like
My bike against a dry rock wall. I'm sure, besides small repairs, this wall is 150 yrs old.
Just a quick bike tip, if a road has the word “hill” in it, and you are not a climber or it’s the first day of spring and you haven’t been on your bike much in 6 months, don’t take it. Because it probably looks something like this…
